Since the birth of social medias, selfie is getting stronger everyday. Instead of pictures that we looked somewhere else not to camera, each day that passed our eyes started to look more directly to camera. As a result, our face was much more clear than ever to save it in databases. Do you really think that social media companies are really trying to protect you from intelligence agencies? They don’t give a shit. Even those privacy settings are meaningless because we are spreading every bit of knowledge into the social medias. One way or another, the ones who really want to take that knowledge and use can do it.
Selfie culture is being supported by telephone, social media companies. Why? Telephone companies can make phones with a much better front cameras, social medias can become much more realistic. Both of them are a source of money.
Intelligence agencies are certainly very glad for selfies. They’re enlarging and updating their database daily, thanks to you.
I think being ourselves and acting according to our wishes start only when we resist on things that we ‘have to do’.
Borgs say that resistance is futile. Oppositely, it’s our biggest power in our hands to be who we want to.
